For over fifteen years Funmi worked mainly within the NHS UK, with a stint in the Pharmaceutical industry as a Drug Safety Physician. Funmi is driven with a passion to change the poor narrative of Africa’s healthcare landscape through leveraging information technology. Prof. JAY H. SANDERS

Dr. Sanders earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School Magna Cum Laude.

Identified by his colleagues as “the Father of Telemedicine” he has spent over 30 years in the development and implementation of telecommunications and information technologies as a means of addressing the problems relating to quality, cost and access to care that now plague our health care system.  He was the Principal Investigator of a grant from the NSF that represented the first application of telemedicine into correctional healthcare, and in 1991 he designed the telemedicine system for the State of Georgia that interfaced with rural hospitals, public health facilities, correctional institutions, ambulatory health care centers, military bases and public school classrooms.

Efe Ukala, Esq

Efe Ukala is the founder of ImpactHER, an impact driven organization that focuses on bridging the financing gap for women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Africa. The organization achieves its mission by helping African women business owners (i) access institutional capital for their business, (ii) scale their businesses while also helping them tackle business operational challenges, (iii) access new markets through the use of technology, and (iv) become investor-ready. ImpactHER has trained over 5000 African female entrepreneurs in 46 African countries, on a pro bono basis, on how to run successful businesses and become investor-ready. ImpactHER’s intervention has, (i) launched hundreds of African female-led businesses online, (ii) helped African women supply their products to U.S. vendors, and (iii) given African female-led SMEs access to over $1billion in institutional capital.

Dr Rodney De Palma

Dr Rodney De Palma is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. Born and brought up in London, and educated at Ampleforth College , he graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine (University of London)with a highly distinguished MBBS (proximae accessit to the University Gold Medal) and a First Class Honours BSc in Neuroscience.

He is a specialist in cardiology and cardiovascular intervention (coronary and structural disease). He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and member of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular intervention He is co-editor of ‘Percutaneous cardiovascular interventional medicine’ and an associate editor of Open Heart journal. Dr. De Palma was appointed as an External Examiner for the University of Plymouth in 2018.

Mr. Ade Adefeko

Ade Adefeko is the current Vice President Corporate & Government Relations and also in  charge of External Communication and Stakeholder Management at OLAM NIGERIA a  subsidiary of OLAM international of Singapore. His nearly three decade long professional  career spans diverse sectors including Broadcast/Pay-Tv, FMCG Banking and Sports industry  where he held senior management roles in Treasury, Credit and Operations. He is also on the  advisory board of the African Wealth Report (AWR) and SYNERGOS Nigeria’s State  Partnership for Agriculture (SPA) in non-executive capacities. He is also the current Chairman  of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture  Export Action Group (NACCIMA) NEXAG.

Prof. Charles Ononiwu

Prof. Charles comes with a rich clinical and management experience of more than three decades. He  is an Associate Professor and Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon with 20years of experience as  Clinical Specialist. He is a Fellow of West African College of Surgeons and has taught in  Medical Schools for more than fifteen years. He has headed the Department of Maxillofacial  Surgery in two tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Dr. Ononiwu is passionate about providing  quality and affordable healthcare in Nigeria especially to the rural areas and Urban Slums  helping dozens of communities across Nigeria. Dr. Ononiwu is also a Business Management  Consultant- he holds a MBA degree from Business School of Netherlands. He is passionate  about mentoring young people and helping them live a purpose driven and impactful life whilst  bringing excellence and hard work to bear in the field of daily endeavours. Charles is a devoted  Christian, married to a Consultant Paediatrician and they have three daughters and one son.

Dr Toyin Lawal

An accomplished healthcare professional with over 20 years clinical experience. Dr Lawal  successfully enhanced, designed and implemented clinical programs and quality indicators in  acute, specialty and ambulatory clinical service lines through effective collaboration with  healthcare providers, Practice managers, clinical staff, allied health professionals, and  administrative support staff. Dr Lawal demonstrates initiative in facilitating efforts that achieve  high quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care including; leading, monitoring, and evaluating the delivery of clinical services across over 300  ambulatory practices spanning a 50-mile radius and leading COVID-19 Initiatives for UCLA Health and LA community establishing 15  COVID testing stations and Training of over 200 staff.

Ibukun has over 10 years management experience which cuts across various sectors of the economy in Africa, Europe and North America.

With degrees in Business Administration and Diploma in Applied Accounting, his passions for problem solving and process engineering has seen Ibukun work at various management levels in companies such as Sheridan UK, Obaika Racing and Onelead Limited.

Ibukun studied at London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) were he obtained a diploma in Applied Accounting (ACCA).
